Welcome to our space of Information. We hope and Pray that you and all our visitors will be blessed; And that the information that you gather would help you to establish and maintain a healthy relationship with our creator, the God of Heaven through His only begotten son, Jesus Christ
We believe that the holy Scriptures, the sixty six (66) books of the Bible have enough information for the salvation of mankind. Apart from the spoken and written word, God revealed Himself in His son who became flesh (human) to save lost humanity (John 3:16,17 ; 5:39; 1 Timothy 3:16). As it is written, “neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved ” (Acts 4:12).
Our prayer is that you study the holy Scriptures with the mind and purpose of knowing the will of your creator, and complying to his word; for only those who do the will of God will ultimately be saved (Matthew 7: 21-27)
1. Our Name –
A) We go by the same name that the Disciples of the Lord Jesus and the early Church had, ” The Church of God.” This is the group that the Lord purchased with his own blood; and Saul of Tarsus persecuted (Acts 9: 1-5 ; 20: 28; 22: 1-21; Galatians 1:13).
The scripture declares that both the family of God in heaven and on earth are called by his name ( Ephesians 3: 14, 15).
B) For Incorporation purposes “Seventh Day” and “Pentecostal” are appended to the name to indicate that we keep the Seventh Day Sabbath of the Lord and subscribe to the Pentecostal experience of the disciples of Jesus Christ on the memorable day of Pentecost ( Exodus 20: 8-11 ; Acts 2 ).
2. The Connection-The connection to the Lord Jesus Christ and the early Apostles is not necessarily a historical one considering that along the centuries apostacy and persecution have interfered with linkage to the original church.
Various periods of the Reformation reveal spasmodic doctrinal truths, and even the practice of some unsound doctrines against which Apostle Paul and other Apostles warned (Acts 20:29-31; 2 Timothy 4:1-6; 2 Peter 2; 2 John ).
In light of various inconsistencies, one reliable connection is ” Doctrinal Purity”. When the beliefs and practices of a people or group harmonize with those of the early Apostles, then a true connection is established (Jude 3).
